What is it all about?
Zonika21 is a project so unique you might only encounter something like it once in your lifetime. While NFTs are usually crafted by digital artists who transform each piece into something exclusive, nature has been creating one-of-a-kind masterpieces all along.
To help preserve the Amazon rainforest, a group of entrepreneurs, supported by blockchain developer Hathor, created Zonika21. The project would direct funds toward restoring degraded areas, supporting local communities, and promoting sustainable development around the biome.
Through the virtual sale of forest sections, buyers would receive a unique, physical 3D model of a 1,000-square-meter area they virtually acquired. They would also monitor preservation efforts in real time. Investments in the section would generate secondary tokens — Rainforest, Agroforestry, Biodiversity, and Social Impact — which, in turn, would enhance the value of the original NFT.
Branding + Collateral
The brand, although organic and almost indigenous in spirit, also needed to feel modern. At the founders’ request, the number 21, which is the area code for the city of Rio de Janeiro, had to be subtly incorporated. The chosen design plays with the consonants of the name, referencing the cryptocurrency code ZNK21, and includes the number 21 within the drawing of a tribal-style leaf.
The visual identity project blends the organic visuals of natural elements with the modern look of the logo and the use of a holographic effect, highlighting the uniqueness and security of each NFT.

The project remains in development.
